The Piano is back!

We have a beautiful antique upright grand piano that we bought when our daughter at 7 years old starting begging us for piano lessons.  Well I’m happy to say that the lessons went very well and she is an accomplished pianist.  That was a long time ago and she has moved out and has her own piano now.

Fast forward 20 years and we now have a grandson who is taking piano lessons.  Every time he was at our house, he was glued to the piano for hours.  He was very successful in his music lessons and he really wanted to take our piano home.  That was fine except he lived 200 km away.

I had no idea what movers in Vancouver BC could look after pianos. I did some research and called Action Movers as they are experts in piano moving.  Never having had to move a piano, I had no idea what to do.  But I didn’t have to worry they asked me where the piano was located, how many stairs were involved and what kind of piano need to be moved.  They gave me an estimate and promised to move it on the day I requested.

On moving day, they arrived right on time with everything they needed – blankets, a piano skid and three very strong men.  The piano was out of the house and on the truck in no time and it arrived in perfect condition at grandson’s house.
